From $35 and a dream to Bergdorf Goodman, Carrie Underwood, and Vogue.
Charlene K was founded in 2005 by Teong Kay and his wife Gigi, named after their daughter Charlene, and first based in Beverly Hills. Teong Kayβs story is one of the most compelling in American fashion: he immigrated to the United States with a business degree and thirty-five dollars in his pocket. Fascinated by fashion, he took entry-level positions in garment factories to learn the business from the ground up β then used his business degree to open several boutiques and create two successful dress collections, Pave and St. Romei, sold at Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, and Bergdorf Goodman.
From those ventures, Teong Kay developed a deep passion for fine jewelry and a conviction that a womanβs look is not complete until she is accessorized with jewelry. After years of planning, he launched Charlene K β a contemporary jewelry line created to celebrate every womanβs desire for self-expression through beautiful, timeless pieces. The collection is made in 14K Gold Vermeil, 14K Rose Gold Vermeil, and Sterling Silver, combined with semi-precious stones and druzies β classy, sophisticated, and designed for every occasion.
Charlene K has been worn by Carrie Underwood, Eva Longoria, Angela Bassett, Lauren Sanchez, Kyle Richards, Audrina Patridge, and dozens of the most fashionable women in the world. The brand has been featured in InStyle, Elle, Vogue, Glamour, People, Womenβs Wear Daily, and more β and appeared on E!, Extra, and the Oprah Network.
