Jakett NYC

The perfect leather jacket doesn’t exist. So Joseph Greco built it.

Founded in New York City in 2008, Jakett NYC is the result of designer Joseph Greco’s obsessive journey to create the ultimate completer piece — an effortless leather jacket that feels as natural as a second skin. The Jakett woman is the main character: comfortable, confident, and fully at home in the idea of “classic cool.” She embraces the perfectly imperfect quality of the quintessential leather jacket and makes it entirely her own.

Every Jakett is handcrafted one at a time by generationally-trained master leather workers using time-honored techniques passed down through centuries of craft. The leather is sourced from small family farms in Pakistan — exclusively from skins that are a byproduct of raising food for local communities, never creating more clothing than the need for food can supply leather for. Heritage tanning methods produce some of the softest and most distinctive leathers on earth, with a minimal environmental footprint. Production is co-located with the tannery, lowering carbon output while giving makers full control over every garment.

The result is a leather jacket you can love for a lifetime — ethically made, beautifully worn, and impossible to replicate.
